99 s70 base P0172 persistent code, stalling

Post by nonturbo »

I have been getting returning p0172 code, haven't replaced air/fuel sensor yet. checked for vac leaks , none, replaced "j" hose rear . Persistent stalling at any speed, like it's leaning out too much, starving for gas, no vapor smell from tail pipe ( it's normal or lean), not like sulfur or burning eyes. Thanks in advance for your help !

Have you tested the fuel pump relay?

p1072 is almost always vacuum leaks, when it isn't vacuum it is usually the front O2 sensor. Occasionally it is the MAF. So if you are totally sure about the vac lines, including the PCV system (did you check the elbow on the passenger side of the intake manifold? the hoses at the throttle body?), and especially if you know the front O2 sensor is aging, it's probably time to get a new one.
