Trying to get VIDA on a new computer. Install completes without problems. When I load VIDA All in One and go to vehicle profile, there is no drop down box to select the DiCE unit (see attachment). There is also no where else that I can see of where to add the tool to VIDA (some instructions say its in a tab in 'perform computer settings' but its not there). When I load DiCE Diagnostic and connect to the unit that way, it connects fine and passes all communication tests.
Other things I have done: Check system requirements (Pass), uninstall/reinstall VIDA, DiCE, and drivers, and checked DiCE on another computer with VIDA (connects to VIDA fine).
Any ideas of why this is happening? This is a factory Volvo DiCE unit.

Go to http://www.volvotechinfo.com
Download the USB driver for the Dice unit. I think the version is 5.61
If you can't find it PM me and I can arrange to email the file to you.

Download the update just to double check it was up to date, which it was. Reinstalled it and tried VIDA again. Same issue occurs.

I had 4.5.1 installed. Used a tool to remove it and it bumped it back to 3.0. Tried VIDA at that level and it works fine, just slower than it should. Now that I know this was an/the issue, I will eventually upgrade to 4.0 and try it then to see if it speeds it up to what it should be.
Thank you for your help doublebug.

One problem lead to another,
Thought VIDA was working fine after the downgrade, but it was just the next step to another problem. When going into VIDA, I was able to select the vehicle and go into the diagnostics and use that tab fine. The problem here is that almost the whole information tab is not working, causing each dropdown menu to not work and become more of text rather than a dropdown field. To fix that, I downgraded IE from 10 to 9 which fixed that error, but that caused the Communication Tool area to become a box with a red X in it. Downgrading it further to 8 did not work.
Summary of where I am at:
Both IE9 & 10 cause different issues (one fixes one but causes another), Framework at 4.0, Java up to date, no antivirus installed or activated, firewall deactivated, VIDA uninstalled/reinstalled.

Just a followup in case anyone runs into this problem. While VIDA calls for IE9, it ended up working on IE10 with compatibility mode turned on.

What is now the working spec of OS/IE system - memory, file format, disk size etc?
The pictures show you are using 2012B version of VIDA-DiCE.
