Volvo, 850 - Passengers Airbag open-circuit

Post by Fish stick88 »

Hello all. Yesterday after leaving my car parked all day I got back in and turned it on to find the SRS light. I pulled the code which is 2-2-2, Passenger side open circuit. I have had the dash in and out twice now, so I should be able to do this fix, assuming I can find the open circuit part.

I don't really know where it starts, or what this means. All advise is welcome.

I have heard that testing airbag resistance with an ohmmeter will cause the airbag to deploy. - Wont be doing that.

Computer inside the console? The one under the parking brake or the one under the dash? I thought the SRS light could only be changed by the factory.
