1995 volvo 850; no start

I receive this engine from a savage yard with on 80k; after install the engine, now it will not start, has spark; the compression sounds weak; the engine been wash and sitting for about 3 to 4 months; could this wash cause the low compression(the lawnmower syndrome)see pictures below

Does it get fuel? If it does, charge the battery, put a small amount of oil into each cylinder, put in new set of plugs, and the car should starts.

Yep, seems likely: needs new plugs, plus lawnmower syndrome.

being that its a salvage yard engine, id check the compression as well. It looks like its had water in the plug holes at least..

Due to this engine been sitting at the junk yard for several month; i put 2 tablespoon of oil in each cylinder; the compression shows much improvement but still will not start;after rechecking my timing; i notice my exhaust cam mark; would this cause a no start or hard to start? the timing marks was correct after turning the engine over by hand several times; the engine attempts to start or stumbled to start but

No not yet; but I will; what about the exhaust cam mark, would it cause a no start/hard to start?

yes the timing marks can make it hard to start or no start if not lined up properly and also can cause poor compression readings. So... you need to make sure your timing is correct and then do a compression check..

The timing is fine. It looks like it is off about a half of a tooth, probably from the belt stretching (time for a new belt), or possibly from someone messing with cam timing. But that is nowhere near enough to affect compression and/or starting.
