98 V70XC. XC60 rims on a V70XC

As the title reads, I am inquiring if a set of XC60 rims will fit on my V70.
I know I can fit a set of 225

/40/17 tires and the bolt pattern is the same, 5x108. But the XC60 rims are 7.5 inches wide, one more than the V70, and I cannot understand if the offset will keep the wheels clear of any suspension and brake components.
I found a good offer on the newer rims and would love to see them on my XC.

XC 60 '08- on

5x108 /ET 35 to 50 /central hole 67.1

So...the ET & central hole will be wrong.While you could get away with ET...central hole is bigger.

You can cosider the plastic or metal inserts to match the central hole.They can be made or bought just like spacers.

XC 60 '08- on

While researching a little more, these are the Segin style wheels and Volvo lists them having a 55mm positive offset. I can use the hub centric rings for the center bore difference. I think with my math the offset to back of rim is just off by 1mm. And with IPD telling me I can use a 225/45/17 I believe that I won't have any issues.

Any thoughts on this?

That is correct. What makes the most sense to me is to try one rim on all four corners. Unfortunately I won't have the luxury of doing so with a tire on it.

You don't need to do that.If it will fit to one it will fit fine to all corners.

You will have a wrong picture without the tire on it.That said...you will not now if it will rub inside or not,without a tire mounted on the rim.

It didn't pan out on the XC60 rims. But what happened is I found a set of Neptune rims from an XC90 and here is where I started and what I finished with
