Well guys, I'm out.

After trying to solve the various overheating issues my mechanic has declared that the car has something wrong with the head or head gasket. It might just be the gasket, it might be worse, makes no matter. Could not have happened at a financially worse time.

The exact symptom is: as soon as the engine fires up, the coolant in the expansion tank starts to "boil."

New front tires, tierods, T-belt, water pump. Body is in really great shape, paint's good (moonbeam? Moonglow? I call it platinum), some flaking on rear bumper. 108K miles. Tan interior. After market Apline multi-finction is inop, but car is wired for GPS & Satellite Radio. Top is leak free, but rear window is held in by Gorilla Tape. Clean title.

Not going to lie - this is a project car, but the results will be worth it.

VERY tempting....is it is High Pressure Turbo or Low Pressure Turbo? Would you be able to send or post some pictures of the vehicle?

Low pressure. I will go get some pictures today. I just wanted to gauge interest first.

Forgot: New front calipers & rotors in December plus transmission fluid swap out & new motor mounts. Fan relays also replaced.

Spoke with mechanic today and he recommends the car NOT be driven until fixed.

Well, it might BE an HPT. I ran the VIN through a decoder and it reported that the trim level was a HPT Convertible.
