2002 S60 and others Faulty Direction Signal and SOLUTION

Post by sergio »

.

My left side direction signal began beating faster. I understood there was a malfunction.
I pulled the front driver side out it worked (normal beat/ clack clack)
Put it back, abnormal behavior.
Reading on the internet I found suggestion that the socket could be faulty and that they should be replaced.
So instead of replacing the socket, I removed the bulb, then pulled up the tongs that spring-attach to the bottom of the bulb with pointed electric tweezers. I put the bulb back and set the socket into its place.
It was a week ago. It is working fine, thank you

More fun and cheaper than replacing the socket.
