Brake Light relay location 2001 S 80

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

good info, i substituted the rear fog light relay with the brake light relay, now i have brake lights and have never used the rear fog lights, so not missing anything there and no need to spend $20 for the new relay.

Just wanted to add another big thank you for this great tip and add a little info - the fog light and brake light relays are indeed interchangeable - mine had the old part number 9441161 when I pulled it out - my local Volvo dealer said that is was replaced by PN 30765031 which cost me about $14.

I have the same problem. I switched two of the relays as suggested and still don't have brake lights in the tail. Only the third one works. I've also replaced the brake light switch. I've read where this could be a RCM problem which sounds very expensive to repair. Any further suggestions of fixing this problem?
