03 C70 Windscreen Fabric Replacement

Hi,

I have a windscreen whose fabric is beginning to fray. I have contacted many fabric shops in the hope of securing some, but none claim to have any that match. I have even had samples shipped and although close, it is not appropriate. I even emailed Volvo in Sweden, but they were no help. The fabric is attached similarly to the way window screen is attached. It would be a rather simple job if I had the fabric.

Does anyone have any ideas?

109 views and no replies. Looks like more people are looking for an answer than have answers. I can now consider myself one of the latter, however. Wanted to find the exact fabric, but I had to settle for a rather good alternative. It's sold as mosquito netting. I actually like it better. Visibility in the rear-view mirror is better and it provides a darker black.
