Idle issue

Just a question related to what is normal as far as idle goes. Car is new to me and still trying to feel it out. FYI

Could be many possible things that causes this. Since you changed your tranny fluid recently, check it to make sure it is up to the correct level. Other than this, I can think of fuel filter as well as throttle body needing cleaning- but they probably did that with the software upgrade. Others, hopefully will give their opinions.

A LOT of 01's do (did) this.
I'm not sure what the answer is, I can try to ask next week as my dealership is very large and about everything that goes wrong has gone thru this shop

Thanks for the info. i did have the throttle body cleaned when the ETM was upgraded. Any other ideas you can offer would be appreciated. It is really more an annoyance than anything else. My previous car was a Nissan Maxima with an engine and tranny that was smooth as silk.

It does not sound like the throttle body was cleaned. Classic symptom of a dirty throttle body on a non-turbo car.
