I just replaced the battery in my friend's 850. She's a Sudanese refugee, so we're doing everything on the cheap.
As you probably know, replacing the battery means the radio/cd player is now disabled.
Does anybody know where I can get the code for that? I'm not willing to call, or go to, a Volvo dealer and pay big bucks for it.
Ideas? Thanks!

Sometimes you get lucky and the code is written on one of the labels with a Sharpie, all of mine have the code written on them so that I don't need to keep track of which code goes with each radio. Look for a 4 digit number that is hand written.

Turns out there were two codes written on a random piece of paper in the glove box. One of them was correct.
I had to let it set with the switch on, for 2 hours, to get the "OFF" message to go away so that I could code it in. But we're rollin' now.
Thanks everyone!

For future reference I just called up the dealer with my VIN and he gave me the code over the phone.
