so i have a squeak coming from the ac comp. it does not necessarily sound like a bearing going bad, it sound like a belt squeak (i thought it was the belt for a long time). i have the squeak at idle up to about 2000 rpm. the squeak stops if i turn on the ac. possibly could be a bearing within the clutch (not sure of the clutch construction). is there anything that can be lubed?

Could be a lot of things not in the AC. When the AC comes on, the serpentine belt is loaded differently and this could stop a squeak in one of the other components.
The compressor is still unless the clutch pulls in, so my guess is the squeak isn't in the compressor - perhaps in the clutch bearing.
