2003 V70 2.4T Front Wheel Bearings replace…?

I ve used the same method when doing just the bearing assy.
Just turn the wheel far enough and be careful not to damage the CV boot with the socket.

Now you guys are tempting me not to do my struts on my 1999. Maybe they aren't as bad rust wise as I first thought...

Yea - just buy an 89c. can of spray paint from Walmart and take care of the rust

89 cents?? I was going to pick one up from the side of a DOT road job with left over pink marking paint.

I was looking at the image of the RH side rusty strut assy that you posted; what's up with those strut-to-knuckle bolts - aren't they supposed to be inserted from the front?
AFIK, heads should be facing forward.

Strut to knuckle or control arm-to-subframe?

I did control arms about 5 years ago, I could have got that wrong.

I don't think the knuckles have ever been off this car, TTBOMK

I am referring to the two horizontal bolts that connect the steering knuckle to the strut assembly; is it possible the car came like that?

It is...I can't think of any repair I've done or had done that would entail removing them.

This is what VIDA shows and I am positive someone here had pointed it out in a procedure. Other than the picture attached I did not see any specific instructions in VIDA. It may as well not be worth the sweat...

...But could still shift your car's center of gravity!

Those bolts are so seriously torqued (TTY) so I don't think they will ever try to go anywhere.
