98 S70 T5. White vacuum tube

Post by LRVolvo »

I'm wrapping up radiator hose replacement and I'll be danged if I can't find what the one end of that white vacuum tube goes into. There's the one end that fits on the nipple on the side of the tube going from the top of the turbo plumbing. I'm guessing it's somewhere near the throttle assembly but I'm stumped.

Is there no sticker under the hood showing vacuum hose routing?

It likely goes to the evap thing above the turbo. See if there is a vacuum elbow orphaned there.

Goes to a small metal pipe next to turbo that is attached to a heater hose. It eventually goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

It probably doesn't connect to that heater hose, it's just routed there.

Things that are need or are vacuum controlled on the P80 cars

Brake booster
PCV system
SAS
EGR
FPR
Cruise control
Hot air blend ??

As Bubba Gump says.... I think that's it...

Sorry worded a bit wrong. It is of course separate to the heater hose. But the small metal pipe sits on top of it and runs behind the engine down to the fuel pressure regulator.
