1993 850 Exhaust flange "donut" gasket

Post by JimBee »

Choices for this gasket are limited: $6.00 or $45.00 (Volvo brand). Quite a spread.

Has anybody recently installed an aftermarket donut? I'd be grateful for feedback on durability.

The $45.00 dollar piece would be a bargain compared to the $65.00 local dealer's price. I've seen some shocking prices but that was a jaw-dropper.

I used whatever OBX sent with the replacement header and it hasn't been a problem. I don't recall that it was branded on the bag so I don't know who actually made it.

Lee, thanks for the lead. I'll try to get the brand from the source.

My 1999 S70 had a leaking gasket. The gasket and flex connector was integral with the exhaust manifold. A local exhaust shop was able to weld-in a new gasket and flex connector without replacing the manifold. Cost was around $150. Still have loud exhaust with a vibration at idle... the shop said no leaks. Replaced motor mounts with no change. I think its something internal in the muffler.
