Hello all, last week a friend accidentally smashed my sunroof with a soccer ball. One thing led to another and I am now to the point where I have gone to the junk yard to pull out an entire sunroof system. After removing my damaged one and replacing it with the one I have pulled from the junk yard, it does not operate and neither does my home-link system and vanity lights. Really struggling after hours of headliner removal and reinsertion. I have read forums that have told me to do unlock/lock patterns which I've tried hundreds of variations, checked alarm and sunroof fuses, all good. I have also completed the reset by holding up the drivers and passenger windows up for 8-10 sec in II position. Nothing has worked thus far.
Thanks all,
Dan T.

Can you confirm voltage at the fuse? I didn't know the sunroof was keyed to the BCM, but I guess I'm not surprised. Do you need the VIDA procedure just to check your work?
