V70 / 855 vs 945 /V90 / 965

My 94 855T is getting a bit along in age and I am thinking about replacing it. At almost 250K miles, it's getting rattly and worn, although the engine is still strong (150lbs per cylinder). I suppose I could pull the drive train and put it in a better body, but that is a bit of a job for me. I have had a number of Volvos, from a 122 to a 144, 240T, 740T and now the 850T wagon. I miss the 740T, and was thinking about maybe backstepping to a RWD T wagon. I saw a very nice V90 recently and really liked it. I guess I have a soft spot for the wide body RWD. I have no objections to the 850 and 70 wagons at all, except I found the FWD harder to work on. I still have a nightmare of recently replacing a starter that had a stripped bolt head on it. and the PCV job was no fun, either. I like the pep of a Turbo, but I am no street racer. Having driven a 260hp V70, I think that is enough for me. And I have gotten a bit soft and am happy with an automatic. So I would like to solicit you subjective opinions on T wagons and why.

All opinions welcome and thanks in advance .............

Ive always prefered the 850/v70 turbo's personally. Ive had the RWD turbo cars as well and they just dont seem to put down the HP like the FWD do...

My 240T had about 200hp, but it was a bit laggy. The PO had replaced the turbo, upped the boost and added water injection. The RWD can make enough HP for me, but I like the smoothness of the 850's response. Out of the RWD's, the 940, 960 and V90s would be my preference. I'd love to try the 6 cylinder with the turbo mod....
