dose anyone know anyone in the UK who repairs ABS control modules in the same way that MattyMoo does in the US…I could send it to him but will hit Customs charges etc when it comes back,

If you can solder, or know someone who repairs electronics and does know how to solder, they are pretty easy to fix yourself. I have a writeup in the repair database that details what to do.
