2001 V70 Cabin Ventilation stopped working
Re: 2001 V70 Cabin Ventilation stopped working
Oh one more thing. Have not had a chance to test the ground you mentioned. A bit over me. Waiting on a friend.

I am not sure what exactly you found (I hope you identified a poor connection and fixed it so it won't come back on you). Since your vent servomotors and lights are now working, the ground should not be a concern.
Your next step is to get to the fan electrical connector and check power to the fan assembly. The connector is accessible from underneath the glovebox (like when you change the cabin filter) without having to pull the fan assembly or anything else (at least not yet).
Once you've confirmed that the power supply and the control are both OK, then you will know it's a bad fan motor or a bad speed regulator. (You will still need to pull the fan assembly out to get to the electronic regulator). The diagnostic approach at that stage is pretty straightforward, and the actual work requires small hands, a lot of patience... and certain select phrases
found in the underground French vocabulary...
...but it feels pretty rewarding when you're all done!
Sometimes (if the fan motor gets stuck because of a foreign object or a bearing failure) it would overload and take out the regulator so you may end up having to replace both; however that is seldom the case.

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
