1999 V70 XC 127k BOSTON $5000

I've had this car for about 3 years. I am the second owner. I'm selling because I had a family member very suddenly and unexpectedly pass and they had just purchased a new car which is going to me. It's been a wonderful car and I'm not thrilled about giving it up, but I've also got 3 more years of orthopaedic surgery training before I have a real income, so now's the time I suppose.

1999 Volvo V70XC.
127K miles
Black with Tan Leather

Mechanical:
Transmission replaced at 90K with factory refurbished model - the prior owner had taken his car to the local volvo dealer since new, but they'd never chained the transmission fluid. Still not 100% sure what caused that failure, but its pretty new and has had fluid changes every 10K since
Transmission cooler - installed with the transmission at my request
CVVT sensor replaced at 125K
Timing belt at 93K
Rear brakes (pads and rotors) at 95K
Front brakes (pads and rotors)at 110K
Tires at 92K - 20-30% left. Rotated every 10K
Oil changed with Mobil-1 every 4K, last was 500 miles ago
Front control arms at 115K
All coolant hoses, turbo coolant hoses at 125K
Spark Plugs at 120K

Interior and appearance
15% tint professionally
LED backlight instrument display from IPD
Currently have 55W HID setup for low beams, have originals as well in stock housing, both will be included
Replaced tailgate strut at about 97K
Recent Cabin air filter
816 radio with iPod adaptor
Volvo roof rails with some delamination of the rubber that is well held on by the racks themselves
I also have 2 thule wheels-on bike racks that I'd include for $100/each and a thule fork mount rack that I'd include for $50.

The engine runs fantastically. I also have the IPD suspension bushing inserts that I have yet to install that will be included.

Looking for $5000 obo.

It also has a class 2 hitch, a curt 12211.

Nice car, good luck with the sale!

As far as the transmission failure, you really cannot tow anything substantial with these cars at all. The risk of overheating the tranny is just too great. The transmission cooler might help this, but I'm not sure if it is worth taking the risk.

I actually installed the hitch after the new transmission. It was used for a hitch mounted bike rack only. Never towed anything with it. The girlfriend could never get her bike onto the top of the car.

She's beautiful for her age w/well kept black exterior. When I was shopping for my '04 XC70 I came across a 2000 v70xc in black w/tan camel leather interior in really good to mint condition w/110,000 miles on the odo @ a reputable dealership w/6 month warranty included in price. I almost purchased her but we really had our minds/hearts set on the XC70 so we held out until I could find what we wanted. Silver exterior w/charcoal black leather interior w/ dark colored wood grain and xenon headlights.
