Once I got into the engine I found out it needed a new engine. I then ran into lack of funds so I sold the car for 1k.
Well that was about a year ago and I have missed that car so while browsing cl I find another 98 s90 with a trans issue.
The lady who is selling it told me her mother bought it new and then last year gave it to her daughter and bought a new volvo.
They said they took it to a mechanic and he claimed it needed a new trans and she says you can not drive it very fast.
I'm hoping its just a pnp switch however if the trans is truly dead I can get one with a 1 year warranty for 450.
I have a weakness for unloved, cranky old sedans. I drove 88~89 Mazda 929's for more than 25 years and really liked the old beasts. When my last one died I started my current run with Volvo which is probably my last line of cars. I'm going to see what I can stumble across in this S90 model, might be fun to find another line of old sedans to play with. Still plan to stick to my V70 line for day-to-day though.
