overdrive 89 240 - not electrical

It works intermittantly in warmer weather. When the car is good and warm it works after a few miles and works cinsistantly for the duration of the trip.

As it has colder the overdrive hasn't kicked in for weeks.

Al the electrical issues have been addressed. Where do I go next?

Hi,

I know you said "not electrical" but I had the same problem in mine two years ago and my problem was the relay.

The owner of a Vintage VW parts house close by has an 240 also and he let me test his relay before buying to see if that was it.

I think the relay cost me like $15.00 back then.

OD works great now and does not kick out on it's own as it was back then.

Just a thought.
