I treated myself to an Autometer boost gauge last night from my local performance shop! I didn't want to be guessing if my low boost was due to some POS gauge. I just realized I could have got a VDO for half the cost on Amazon (no shipping cost !)... oh well too late. I am anxiously waiting for my Lotek Gauge Pod (they supply IPD). My gauge came with the barbed T fitting which I will connect to the vacuum tree. I will post a DIY from beginning to end.

Still wondering if I can remove the pink and black wire completely from the white connector so I can solder it. I'd rather not have to cut them or use those tap in blocks (they increase the resistance quite a bit)

To access the engine compartment, I forced the sharpened end of an old dipstick under the rubber gasket at the bottom/left corner of the windshield, lubed it up and ran it through a few more times, then forced the stiff tubing from the gauge through the resulting hole. Hasn't leaked in 4 years.

On my '95 850 T there is a empty harness that goes through the firewall. Can't imagine that Volvo stopped doing that, here is the location:



I made a step by step video for my install, I just need to record one or two clips that I'd like to add.

Just an update...

I realized (ScanGauge) that I have been running OPEN LOOP lately so I disconnected the green wire from my o2 sensor and now the car is running CLOSED LOOP. So the splicer that I used was causing resistance in my o2 sensor (as mentioned above).
