I decided to open up my ABS module and re-solder the joints. As you can see in the bottom pic below with the pump motor plug unhooked im getting about 9 volts, but.. when I plug the pump motor plug back in and probe the wire going to the motor im getting nothing.
I used jumper wires from the battery and ran 12v constant to one side of the pump motor plug and a ground from the battery to the other side of the plug and the pump motor comes on. That's why I think the module must ground the other wire to make the pump run when it needs to..
My question is.. should I get constant voltage thru the plug to the pump or does it stay zero volts until the module activates it by grounding the other wire ? Trying to figure out if I have a bad plug or what ??

did the test procedure per Midwest ABS to check the ohms between the ABS connector and the wheel sensors.. all sensors should ohm between 900-1380. My wheel sensors all showed good except the right rear..
LF- 1129 ohms
RF- 1155 ohms
LR- 1123 ohms
RR- 0 ( I guess bad sensor or wire problem ? )

Picture 1 scares the hell out of me. There is absolutely no insulation on the wires to the pump.

The wagon is mobile again after replacing the cracked heater core junction at the firewall, heater hoses, heater core and tubes.
I cleaned up my left front wheel sensor today and I lost signal to the speedometer. I ran out of time today, so I will swap it out with one of the sensors I have in storage when I can.
If you recall, that was the only code we were getting to indicate any issues. Let me know where I should look next.
I used to be able to get the speedometer to work, but none of the tricks will bring it back at this point.
I can't drive the wagon without the speedometer. When I look at it, It usually tells me I'm speeding.

Ben... so have you checked to see if all your wheel sensors are working ? You can use a ohm meter and check each sensor and tell which one is causing issues.. As i mentioned mine was a combination of a bad wheel sensor and ABS module which i was lucky enough to solder and repair.

You had an open circuit on the left front, cleaning the sensor won't do anything because it's a circuit fault.Ben850 wrote:You know mine is Matt.Matty Moo wrote:I think just about every 96 out there is like that.
