97 850 What is it? (part question)

Good afternoon, Im a new guy here and to Volvos. My GF just got a 850 and the brake lights quit on her, I replaced the switch at the pedal and saw another switch above it that has what looks like air tube coming from it. I looked in the book and didn't see anything about it. Does it work with the abs or trac control? Thank you in advance

your doing it wrong, you have to post a potato cam photo of the engine bay with your grease encrusted finger pointing at the part in question. We all then post our idea of what you are pointing at until someone posts a lovely picture with the part is question circled and a pdf of the Volvo manual explaining how to remove and repair it. That is what makes this place great

BTW if you put your finger on the rubber line above the break pedal - it sucks, unless it doesn't work....in which case it doesn't suck
