2001 Volvo S40 Coolant LEAK

Post by u8w »

Hello,
First off I want to say I am very impressed with the quality of advice here. Thanks.
I have a possible good one.... The car over the last several months a
has been tripping a "to cold" code. I know when it is a false code when it has been in the 90 degrees range. I believe it is the old vapor lock tricking the sensor/thermostat. Then it boils out a small amount of coolant once stopped driving. Looking carefully I found a small drip kinda above and behind the alternator on the block but cannot locate the origin. Thinking this may be the root of my problem. I don't feel a drip on the upper hoses I can see. It is the turbo model. Any one out there experienced this? Or suggestions....?
Thanks,

Ken
