Ditto, this is a decent deal and sounds like it was properly cared for. Your daughter will love it!

Once she gets over the uncool factor (she doesn't share our appreciation of Volvos), I hope she will love it! I'll tell her it's very hipster and that should work ;)

Thanks again!

Pull the trans dipstick and take a look at the trans fluid. In those years Volvo never recommended the trans fluid be changed and many by the time they have over 100K are filthy and the fluid looks like strong coffee. If it's red even darker red it's likely ok. Also pull the cap on the coolant reservoir when it's cold and let it run for a little while and watch for bubbles if you see them be wary of a head gasket. They also never recommended in those years that the coolant be changed so look hard at the color of the coolant and how clean or dirty it is.
Bring a rubber glove and pull the oil cap then slip the glove over the oil filler hole if it inflates you will need a flame trap service as it should pull down slightly or at the least not inflate.
I own a 98 V-90 and love the car but it was a fight the first couple years i owned the car to get it back. I bought her with just under 130K and she has 198K 7 years later and these were taken just a couple weeks ago.
