1998 V70xc I hate my seats, What else fits

Post by pred »

I have a 98 V70xc and the front seats just down work with me, Im 5'8" and about 180 Lbs,
My seats are leather,
My wife has same car but with cloth inserts and I hate them too,
A friend has a 95, 850 and they are not comfortable for me either,
If there a manual seat which bolts ion which is not like the V70 seats as far as posture goes?
I drive several cars and I can't tell you exactly I don't get along with the Volvo seats,
My 97 and 99 Bmw being a 3 and 5 series respectively I can sit in for hours before I get uncomfortable but the Volvo is about 15 minutes,
Ide like to go to the yard and spend some time sitting on other seats which will bold right in,
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Peter B

Of all the cars I have ever owned I find my V70 seats the most comfortable - VW, Benz, BMW

6' 1" and 220 lbs.

All I can think of is maybe something is wrong with the seats, but you don't like the 850 either.

Sorry to be of no use... I guess seat fitment is highly personal.

Peter, are you kidding? I have driven my 850 24 hours straight with no physical fatigue. The seats in my daughters S70 GLT are even more comfortable. I'm 50 years old, 5'-4", 170ish and I promise you, I have never sat in a more comfortable seat than the S70.

+1

One of the reasons I like my Volvo so much is the super comfortable seats. And I spend a lot of time in them :D

But I guess they don't fit everyone.

Find a seat that is comfortable to you and find a way to get it in.

I had my friend welded the support on the base so I can put 940 seats into a 240.

1998 -2000 Volvo S/V70
THE best seats ever.
Perhaps your seat is broken, collapsed, too worn out etc

Agreed, the P80 seats are the most comfortable car seats I've ever had the pleasure of sitting in.

I'm piling on here, but it seems strange to compare a P80 seat to a BMW or even a Mercedes. I've ridden in both the latter, and neither have the ergonomic engineering of a Volvo seat--but to each their own-- :?:
