Hi all...looking for some advice on an awd dilemma...
I'm considering buying a 2004 xc70 that had the awd rebuilt within the past month. The seller tells me that the angle drive was replaced with good one from Strandberg's in WI, along with new seals and sleeve. Trouble is, I had my trusted Volvo mechanic (Glasgow in St. Paul) check it out and they told me there's some play in the awd. Assuming the angle drive is good, what else might be causing this? Are there other components that could potentially need replacement and could be done without the cost of another full rebuild? Or would the whole thing have to come apart in order to solve this problem?
