2008 volvo s40 key fob quit working

I went to unlock my doors on my 2008 Volvo s40 it unlocked light s flashed as usual,then I went to lock doors with my key fob and it quit working,replaced battery,still didn't work,tried to reprogram,(both ways) still doesn't work,disconnected battery overnight,still nothing,can anyone help me with this problem

That's awful! What does VIDA say? How is service battery charge? Do you have the other fob?

At least it failed unlocked, so you can drive it to the dealer if all else fails.
