2005 S60 Ambient Air Sensor

Post by asummers »

I have a 2005 S60 that needs the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor replaced. The part listing on FCP notes it as being on the right side. From the info I found the sensor on the right side mirror is for the dash outside temperature display, and the sensor on the left side mirror is for the engine computer. I looked in VADIS and did not find anything for replacing the sensor. Attached is the listing from FCP with the part numbers. First question is...is the left side of the car the drivers side, and the right side of the car the passenger side? The other question is has anyone had any experience replacing the ambient air temperature sensor? Thanks.

I think I am figuring this out. I looked on Swedish Auto Parts and they have the sensor listed for the drivers side for cars with vin number 315000 and up. My car's vin is greater than that, so I am leaning toward getting the one at Swedish Auto Parts.
