1983 Volvo Hot Rod $3,500

1983 Volvo 242 Turbo GT Intercooler with manual 4 on the floor & overdrive. Street legal & very fun car to drive on fast curvy roads.

This was a mechanic's hobby car. He spent over 10 years & over $10,000 in parts & upgrades, plus labor on this car. He gave me a 2.5 page list of parts & upgrades which includes new tires & rims, reworked drive train, custom racing suspension, roll cage, racing seats, new gauges, etc. Looking at this list, It looks like he has completely rebuilt this car. The odometer shows 56,783. The engine has 130 cu inch displacement. Tires are Goodyear Assurance Tripletred All Season, M&S 205/55R16 9411(were 15"). New battery installed last week. I'm not mechanical, but I'll try to answer your questions.

There are a few minor problems. The driver's seat has a small rip, missing trim on driver's door, missing trim lower panel passenger side & the sun roof is difficult to close. There is a little rust. Most rust spots are about one inch, see photos for worst rust on missing lower trim & under head light. In addition, the stereo sound system has been removed.

This 2 door coup looks cool as is. With the right paint job this car will be incredibility hot!

He was originality asking $4,500 for it. The price is $2,700. It is worth it.
