1998 S70 - vacuum line sizes

Post by shegarty »

Hi there everyone - trying to sort out the dreaded P0455 code on my turbo S70. I am going to replace the j-tube and the longer section running from the shut-off valve (square charcoal canister on the rear passenger side) as a start cause they are the cheapest parts to replace. I noticed that the vacuum line that comes off of the intake manifold to the purge valve up front is also likely in need of replacement but I cannot seem to find what size (inner diameter) is needed to replace this. I'd like to have the hose on hand before I start taking things apart ... does anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance.

They are typically 4-6mm. I usually pull the end and measure with a caliper. Part stores sell in imperial, so match the best size. If it has no clamp, don't use a bigger size.
