i bought a used '01 S40 (131K miles) from wholesaler thought it was a good deal...CEL came within one month...Codes were MAF, MAP (Boost), O2 sensor (Bank 1 sensor 2), and misfires on all 4 cylinders...

Replaced the MAF, MAP, Coils and plugs as well as Aft O2 sensor...Car will still not run even after the battery was disconnected and codes cleared. Car will turn over but not idle...RPM @ 2K...Cleared codes but now displays 0304 Misfire in 4th cylinder...Before clearing codes there was also a 0420 Cataclytic converter code.

I am grasping at straws now...Will reinstall plug in cylinder 4 tomorrow am...

Timing belt probably was loose and jumped. Set the timing statically and it should run.
