2008 Volvo V70 review

Here's a review on the new 2007 V70 from Volvo, featuring info on features, design and performance, as well as many other details. Also available is a photo gallery and video clip with the new model.

I'd say a bit, well, underwhelming, to me. Front looks nicer, cleaner than the P2 cars, the rear though is even uglier, dash is uglier, although perhaps more functional (space efficient). I'll stick with my 2001 V70.

+1 on that. I thought the black and white photos in the Toronto Star's Wheels section last Saturday were unimpressive, but with these great quiality colour photos I'll have to say "Thumbs down!". It almost seems like Volvo is going the Subaru Forrester way here - tall, unnecessarily sculpted in many places, weird. I'll stick with my "boxy but good" 850, thank you very much!

All very nice, these are 2008!
How could they be 2007 when 2007's have been on sale for 7 months already?

For whatever confusing reason Volvo is calling this an '07 model as well. I do like it. Love those old school 850 Turbo wheels.

Wow, what a change, I can't find one part of this car that is unique, besides the ugly rear end.
It is apparant that the "lagom" swedish way of life is finally taking it's toll.

Absolutley hate it!

It looks like the V50 on steroids, oh and a Mitsubishi Galant from the rear.

Luckily my 1997 and 2001 V70's are in great shape, and when they decide to quit on me, (My 1989 765 turbo hasn't yet) I can still upgrade to a 2007 without going to the new sh*t shape (sorry Volvo) but it's ugly. How can they do this to the shape of the "New Shape" Volvo so soon after recreating the shape?

God only knows.
