2004 XC90 Left side radio backlights out

Post by APCalifornia »

I replaced left side bulbs and moved bulbs from the right side of the radio which is working to the left side of the radio and the left side is still out. Any chance another cable is loose or is there a fuse for only the left side?

OK, I am wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for these lights, or a pin-out diagram for the small connector that feeds this left-side panel? It seems that the lights are no longer getting power, so I need to trace the problem.
Thanks

I don't have any wiring diagrams but i do know this is a rather common issue with these radios. A tip I got from someone was to get your bulbs from a Honda dealer. They're the same bulbs and only cost about $2 each. I bought everyone my local Honda dealer had in stock. Volvo gets $12 each. Not sure how much this helps but It's good info.

Yes, the Honda dealer was the solution for the bulbs. All bulbs now replaced and they work fine. Remember to save the small blue "hood" that covers each bulb.
I may have to run a jumper wire from a known power terminal to the pin for the bulb power. Was hoping someone out there had a pin diagram so it would be easier to trace.
