little to report...except

Post by abscate »

Just had the most awesome 3 hour drive through upstate NY with leaves in full color. I tried to do it justice with pixels, but there is nothing like seeing it in 2 pi steradians

I kept the T5 just below boost at 2000 rpm and got 29 mpg!! That drops to 26-7 mph at 70 mph.

My lights seem to be pointing low - thats probably because I have all new suspension and Ive messed with how the body sits. I love the new ride - not harsh, but the body goes up-down and stops.

I lowered my 850's front. Back just always was low, so I kept the iPD blues out of it. I get porpoising on long, smooth highway bumps. Meh.

I had to crank the headlights up to max up after. I suppose that means the back isn't as low as the front. But it looks great to my eye, so I'm leaving it.

Just realised I took the I390 north off ramp at 50 mph this morning...suggested speed 30mph

:D :D :D

I also, put the IPD strut brace on my T5 and it does feel stiffer up front.

Nice photo Steve. Michigan looks like that as well.
Stock springs all around on the '93 using Bilstein TC for rear dampers. Sachs-Boge front. My Sedan sits low naturally it seems. You may have seen that first hand. Maybe the 1993 aluminum lower control arm had a different level, but I doubt that.
With fresh dampening all around I am getting a level, well adjusted lighting experience for the most part.

Exits do change perception. M-59 to I-75 is 70 MPH to 25 MPH which I sometimes also forget.
My left headlight seemed a bit low through the 270 degree maneuver.
Pictures at 11:.

I may still put a Alter II bumper on the rear, but I just can't yet let the Alter I go.

I'm disappointed there are no pictures! I love fall.

We leave for the NC mountains tomorrow night. I can't wait.

And I'll get to see the old S70 for a weekend. :)

I used to love this tree outside my old place when the colors were happening.
It made the car look good as well.

Thank you for bolstering myself Stephan. I would like to see a photo of your '98 as I will be taking on a
'98 Cross Country this weekend.
When I say "Taking on", I understand I have a problem. It is like seeing a puppy in the rain.
It should be a good thing.

It will be #4 below if/when it happens.
