But back on topic... I stopped by the junkyard today, and found the relatively-fresh carcass of a '98 V70XC, complete with roof rails, with a set of what look to be genuine Volvo crossbars (or load bars, or whatever) attached to them. Since the roof trim strips on my car are pretty grotty, I thought I'd put the rails on it – having the ability to strap things to the roof might just come in handy.
However, on one side of one of the crossbars the Torx screw that clamps it to the roof rail was badly stripped, and ridiculously tight (I managed to ruin a screwdriver trying to get it out). Since I'd rather not leave the crossbars on all the time, I was thinking that I'd drill it out, but that leaves me with the question of how to replace it when I want to use the crossbars. I've found the diagram on volvopartswebstore.com, and it's #19 on this page that I'm after, but it doesn't appear to be listed for sale on the site. Other sites didn't seem to get me anywhere, but that could possibly be due to my own incompetence
