2000 VOLVO S80 Missfire after hard braking

HI all, I experienced a strange thing. I was driving in traffic, about 30mi/h, and had to brake really hard to avoid collision. Everything was fine but when I try to accelerate I noticed loosing power and engine shaking. Check engine light came on (flashing) but I drove 15 more miles back to home. Exhaust smelled bad like not burning properly. I plug the tester and a code for 3th cylinder misfire ?!? Vacuum hose rupture?
Please, help me with reasonable explanation.

To update- I changed the ignition coil of 3th cylinder and everything is fine now. What I do not understand is why the coil went bad after hard braking? Coincidence? I do not believe it. Your opinion?
