Hi all -
I've been searching off and on for several weeks and haven't come across a write-up on replacing the AC blower motor on a 2010 XC60. Based on parts schematics I've seen, the location is right behind the main vents in the middle of the dash. Has anyone done this work before and have tips? It also looks like the same blower motor works on the S80, V70, XC70, and S60. Would it be safe to assume the location and replacement procedure would be similar?
Thanks!

Hi.
My XC60 blower motor squeaked continuously so I decided to replace it. What I thought would be a easy replacement turned out to be a nightmare. The blower fan is right behind the middle of the dashboard and right up against the firewall. I took out half my dash board but eventually I gave up as you have to remove the entire dash board to access this blower motor.
On the old Volvos it was under the foot well and was rather easy but this I am afraid it really difficult.
Do you need to replace yours or is it squeaking as well?

Hi -
Yes, I have to replace mine as well. That's disappointing to hear that it's that difficult on the XC60. I replaced the one in my XC90 a few months ago, and I managed to do it in about 30 minutes.
Thanks!
