97 850 Options?

For the 850's ordering options, was it available without A/C in the CA/US supplied cars?

Is there any way to look up the RPO's? Kind of wanting to see about a non-air equipped hvac box if possible and it doesn't seem very promising it was available.

No, Volvo uses the AC to assist with defrost and defogging.

Even if the car was shipped without air - which I have not seen in the North American market - the climate unit would still be the same. It may even have an evaporator coil in in. The way they build the cars there is as much commonality as possible so that they don't have to design and inventory the various parts.

For example, the wiring harness. The cars come for the most part pre-wired for every option but not all of the options are plugged in. That way there is one standard wiring harness that gets installed the same way on every car as it rolls down the assembly line.
