98 v70 GLT high low idle...misfire all cylinders

98 v70 GLT high low idle...misfire all cylinders

Was out driving stopped at a store went in for 20 minutes came ot started the volvo and it idled high to low Connected my scanner and it read misfires random, then a series of 300 codes through each of the 5 cylinders.
I've done a tune up two months ago. It's been fine. Any ideas what would cause this?

Blown out rear cam seal on the intake cam (under the distributor cap)?

To check you have to pull the distributor cap and eyeball the inside of it for oil and/or moisture. Easier with the air cleaner pulled but I have done it with it in, using 1/4 sockets and a swivel joint. I always consider pulling the cap to be a hassle on the turbo models, to be honest, but it's not bad ... Might as well pull the metal plate under neat too, that requires removing the rotor and a single 10 mm bolt (this second part is really easy).

I put a new distributor cap on as part of my tune up and it was a bit tricky. I guess I'll hit that in the am. Would that be a reason for poor gas mileage?

If it just got a new cap, you also want to make sure the wires are attached back on in the proper order.

Yes...I made sure I did that. I will go through it thorghly starting at the top. It seems like I need to do the Pcv system and I'll do the cam seals as well.
