1991 240 no overdrive

I just bought a 1991 240 and it has no overdrive. The fuse is good, the relay is good and I am getting voltage to the solenoid. I replaced the solenoid because the rubber on the top of it was all rotted and breaking. With the new solenoid installed I still have no overdrive.....Does anyone have any ideas? I don't think I have ever seen one of these trannys fail... Thanks

If solenoid is working, then consider M46 Overdrive rebuild-

Notice the IPD instructions

These OD transmissions have a pump, and if pressure is low, OD will not engaged.

Thanks for the info, Mine is an automatic, is it a similar rebuild? I couldn't load the automatic section from that manual.
