1989 740 16 Valve Engine stalls Unexpectedly

Hi
help needed , I have been noticing my 740 has been stalling randomly when stationary and for the first time when cornering today ( left turn) it has a full tank of fuel, clean air filter, reasonably new spark plugs, MAF sensor cleaned 6 months ago. The stalling is becoming more frequent and starting to feel dangerous
any advice welcome

740 (ALL)
760 (1983-87)
940 (ALL EXCEPT SE MODEL)

Replaced fuel relay as suggested and it seems to have fixed it.
