Hello Fellow Volvo Enthusiasts,
I have a 2000 Volvo S80 2.4. Just yesterday someone backed into me and damaged my driver side rear door pretty badly. Fortunately he was insured and we exchanged information.
I plan on getting an estimate from his insurance company to see the cost to repair the damage, but I wanted to reach out to the Volvo community to see if anybody here can give me a rough going-rate estimate to fix the door. I am located in Los angeles and I honestly have no idea how much it cost for body work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I don't know about shipping costs or border taxes but I've got an undamaged door to fit for $75.00. Unfortunately it's a dark red colour, but it's complete with all elecrical parts and glass. I'm in central British Columbia.

That's right, look up on Ebay or local advertising for a replacement door for around $100. Luckily you will find the same color, otherwise will need painted. You can replace it by yourself, quite easy (you need a helper). I don't think you can fit a door in the trunk or on the rear seats, so perhaps you'll need to replace it on place.

The impact bar was bent and most shops will not touch them. They will buy you a used door and pay the shop to repaint etc. When the body shop opens the door they can inspect the jams for damage. I'd have to see it in person but the second picture makes it look like the quarter panel has a small deformity to it.
