1996 960 Oil smell in car

I started to notice the smell of burning oil when I stopped hard, and only when stopping. I Looked under the hood no leaks, that I could see anyway. Well yesterday I had to stop really fast when the car came to a full stop the oil smell was back, then gray smoke came out from under the passenger side of the hood, up towards the firewall. The only other issue I have is gas smell inside the car, only when I first Start it first thing in the morning. I get really bad gas mileage 12 mpg. over all. Thanks

Mostly likely you have a fuel leak. Best to get that fixed to prevent a fire.

Plan ahead....or, sooner or later, your insurance premiums will rise/rise.
