Your battery or its connections are no good. If there is any corrosion at the battery terminals it won't charge properly either. Check all connections, especially ground for the negative connection. Check the B+ cable too. The noise you heard is probably the secondary air system, the pump for that is under the battery.

Im leaning towards the battery not sure how old it is was in the car when i bought it in 2012 i just replaced the positive terminal and cleaned up the negative, both my cars battery goes belly up at the same time.

let it trickle charge all night had 13 volts this morning plenty to crank would just thump at the end of the crank,ive ordered a crank sensor,new cam sensor,cap,rotor ignition coil and wire.

Virtually nothing at contact points when i crank maybe 1.3 volts

replaced the coil again and the coil to cap wire fired right up, did not suspect the coil because i had just replaced it this summer. I'm doing a full tune up anyhow,plugs,wires,cap,cam sensor,crank sensor got good deals on the parts less than 200 for all.

Smoke test is the only way to find it without checking lots of stuff. Hoses on top of gas tank are another common problem.

For the hoses on top of the tank they are a hassle. Here is a thread with some info but by far and away the best way to do this is to empty the fuel tank and drop it down. The tank is light when empty, it is not a bad job. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... =1&t=60269
