Does anyone know if the 30mm nut that holds the prop shaft collar is reverse threads? (I have to remove that in order to get the down pipe up in from underneath & I do not want to have to remove the whole bevel case.) Thanks, Royce
1:46pm UPDATE: The nut is not reverse threads; I finally go it off, but the collar (or as Volvo calls it Companion Flange) will not budge. So it appears I'll be dropping the bevel gear case. Does it leak oil out all over when dropping it down?

The casing has a breather tube on top. Just be sure you don't tip it over while extracting it.
