1999 c70 car battery flat and key barrell broke

can any one help my car battery is flat and the door lock is just turning, i have tried jacking the door out and pulling interior handle but the car will still not unlock

I am just wondering whether the power supply connection for starter or +12V from alternator is reachable from under the car. If yes, you can feed the system from there.

In worst case I would pick an easily changeable side window and... but I really hope you can find some non-destructive method.

Talk about a bad day........

From the sounds of thinks the lock itself is broken so I'm not sure a Slim Jim will do anything. I do like the battery charger to the starter lug idea but have you tried going in through the boot?

I'm not sure if the C series is like the S series with the fold down armrest in the rear seat but you could likely get something fished through the rear armrest hole over to a door latch handle and pop it open that way.

My C70 coupes have the fold down arm rest. Don't know about the rag tops.

The response time for AAA would likely be a killer since the poster is in the UK.
