1996 Volvo 850 Coolant Expansion Tank

Hi Guys,

I have just noticed that my coolant expansion tank is cracked at the bottom hose connection and leaks down to below the car. I must have tightened it too much at some point and the old plastic cracked.

Does anyone know who the OE supplier is for that expansion tank to Volvo? I am going to get Volvo OE otherwise. I know there are many other half priced ones all over the place, but I need this tank to last for another 18 yrs.

Also does anyone know if that tank is made of ABS plastic? or something else. If it is ABS, I may be able to glue it together temporarily with one of my epoxies or cements until the replacement arrives.

Get the Volvo reservoir, about $50 at dealer.

I ordered Volvo OE reservoir, but now need a temporary solution to last a 1.5 weeks.

Carry a gallon jag of water with you, fill up whenever the engine is cold.

Or go buy one from a junkyard.
